The term "hybrid" captures a dual-format marketplace model. It bridges the gap between free community resource sharing (open pedagogical lesson plans, worksheets, and exercises) and premium commercial monetization (high-value curriculum packs, paid exam prep materials, and proprietary teaching guides). It allows educators to act as both open-source contributors and micro-entrepreneurs within a single ecosystem.
Problem & Context
Tunisian educators face a major structural challenge: finding, sharing, and monetizing high-quality, localized pedagogical resources is fragmented. Teachers often resort to sharing files via unstructured channels like private Facebook groups, WhatsApp chats, or unorganized Google Drive folders, making it difficult to discover vetted material aligned with the national curriculum. Furthermore, local teachers lack a simple infrastructure to monetize their digital content due to regional payment gateway limitations.
- Etymology Note: The name "Mawarid" (مواريد) is Arabic for "Resources" or "Sources", directly communicating the platform's core identity as a centralized repository for educational assets.
